Here's what users who submitted 'Neighbors' had to say about it!
"So I actually only found out the meaning to this song when I saw J Cole live and he showed the police footage whilst performing the song. Essentially he had bought a house in a very expensive "white" neighbourhood and built his own recording studio inside, so (often black) people were coming and going regularly from the house. As the lyrics suggest, the police broke into his house following a report that he was drug dealing from the house. The blatant racism shocked me but I also found the way that Cole came back from this and used the experience to educate whilst on tour amazing. The entire show he was dressed in an orange jumpsuit with a prison backdrop and the scene was just so powerful."
